Nyamira governor John Nyagarama on Friday speaking during the induction workshop for the officials at Sovereign Hotel in Kisumu, he said the aim for the executives to sign the contract is to help improve in their performance because those who will not perform will be sacked and new ones appointed to serve in their positions.
“We will not follow the national government’s directive to allow the executives to serve for five years.
"The executives have to sign a two year contract and if they fail to improve on their performance, they will be sacked,” he said.
Nyagarama said residents want quality service delivery and anyone sleeping on the job will be sent home.
“Residents are our employers therefore, must work to offer good services,” he added.
