Speaking to HiviSasa.com yesterday, the choir Chairman Wilson Ondieki urged well-wishers from across the country to join the choir which is on a two weeks evangelism mission in Gusii highlands to make the initiative a success.

He said many partial and total orphans from the region lacked essential needs such as education, food and clothing besides many of them failing to get treatment from local hospitals.

“We have launched a two week mission across Nyamira and Kisii and we are looking forward to raise at least 5 million shillings. We want to help orphaned children who are even unable to get basic essentials such as education,” he said.

Mr Nyakundi lamented on the case of two reported orphans who have been unable to join secondary school despite their phenomenal performances in last year’s K.C.P.E exams.

“We recently received a case where two orphans scored over 350 marks and none has joined secondary school. These are the kind of children we really want to help,” he added.

He asked the two county governments to intervene and help the choir secure the future of many brilliant orphans from the region.

“We believe the county governments of Nyamira and Kisii will use us to reach these young ones. I am sure we will reach our target as soon as possible,” he said.
