Community health workers in Nyamira County have asked the government to buy them equipments so that they can discharge their mandate effectively.
In addition, they have complained of a shortage in personnel and therefore have asked the county government to employ more officers to assist them in providing community service in the county.
Speaking to this writer on Thursday morning, officer in charge of community workers in the county, Charles Mogaka, said it has been tedious to cover all the five sub-counties in the county, and therefore appealed to the government to intervene and salvage the state.
"We are under-staffed and also lack enough equipment to carry out our community duty in the county. We find it difficult to cover all the five sub-counties and our appeal to the Nyamira county government is to employ more officers and buy enough equipments," said Mogaka.
