Tabling the bill in the assembly on Thursday, the chairman of  Youths, Sports and Culture committee in the House Fred Menge said the passing of the bill will help the youth by empowering them economically.

"I know that it is very important that we pass this bill today, because it will play a big role in assisting our youths who are jobless by empowering them economically," said Menge.

Supporting the bill, deputy chairlady in the budget committee of the assembly Zipporah Osoro said that it was necessary for the bill to be passed since the county government had set aside Sh30 million to help improve the livelihoods of the youth.

"Honourable members, it is very important that we pass this bill before the end of business today so that our youths can benefit from the Sh30 million shillings that the county government set aside for the youth," said Osoro.
