Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has signed the budget appropriations report to allow for its implementation.
The report which was presented to Nyagarama by the budget committee chaired by Kiabonyoru ward representative James Sabwengi means that the Sh5.9 billion budget appropriations presented to the county assembly last week has been given the green light for implementation.
Nyagarama, however, rubbished claims that MCAs wanted to be compromised by the Executive in order to unanimously accept the budget estimates as reported in sections of the media.
He, however, called for collective responsibility and inclusion to ensure that the taxpayer's money is not misused.
"I take this time to differ with some news trending that I accused the honorable members of demanding bribes so has to pass the budget appropriations in one voice. I'd rather urge you to practice collective responsibility in ensuring that the taxpayer's money is not lost", he said.
This year's budget reading celebrations were done at a low tone and some members missing from the house raising eyebrows .
