The Nyamira County government has employed 155 health workers with conjunction from Aphia Plus to boost service delivery.
The 155 include nurses, clinicians, lab technicians, and nutritionists who will serve in various dispensaries, health centers and hospitals.
Governor John Nyagarama officiated the issuance of appointment letters and flagging off of the medics at Kebirigo Boys’ High School on Monday.
The governor said those who flout the rules will be sacked and wished the professionals success in their new assignments.
"Your are not chief executive officers but service providers, you will be dealing with mothers, children and fathers, so you have to work hard," said Nyagarama.
He asked the officers to lead by example through knowing their statuses in diseases like Hiv-Aids and cancer, if the county is to succeed in bettering services.
