The county government of Nyamira has  partnered with Israel in efforts of bettering and modernising its agricultural sector.Speaking in his office on Wednesday when he received the Israel ambassador to Kenya ambassador Yahel Vilan who later launched subsidised farm inputs that were procured by the county recently, Governor John Nyagarama said his government is seeking capacity building training for farmers from Nyamira with Israel, a country he said has invested greatly in agricultural technology. "We are pleased to associate ourselves with Israel while we seek to implement the Israel technology in agriculture especially in greenhouse technology that is greatly getting roots in our community," said Nyagarama.Vilan advised farmers in Nyamira to invest in greenhouse technology to help them yield great profits than traditional farming."Israel is ready to share its experiences in agriculture with Nyamira people to ensure they transform to modern ways of farming which are beneficial," said Vilan.
