Nyamira County government has put clear that at least 30 youths will be employed in Nyamira as Governor John Nyagarama moves to reduce joblessness.
Nyagarama made the announcement on Thursday while presiding over the launch of the county Fiscal strategic paper 2016/2017 public participation undertaking.
The governor said his administration had set Sh30 million for the project that would help young people secure jobs, which will boost the county's economy in a big way.
"In the financial year, we intend to employ at-least 50 youths from every ward through this programme at a cost of Sh100 million," said Nyagarama.
"These youths will clean markets, maintain roads, secure water catchments and plant trees in public grounds.
