During an interview on Thursday morning, Nyaribo urged the residents of Nyamira to ensure they plant trees in an effort of improving the depreciating forest cover.

"I humbly urge residents of this county to take advantage of the ongoing rains and plant more trees as a way of improving our forest cover, that is depreciating day by day due to rampant cut down of trees," urged Nyaribo.

Nyaribo further urged the residents to ensure they harvest water during this season in order to avert the possibility of missing water during the drought season.

"The weather and climate change is unpredictable these days and since there are a lot of rains this season, my urge to you residents is to ensure you harvest more water in order to prepare for the hard times ahead," added Nyaribo.
