A Nyamira express bus registration number KCB 1271 this morning has been involved in a road accident along Metamaywa - Keroka road.

According to an eyewitness, John Gisemba, the bus was moving at high speed and this made it skid out of the road at Metamaywa. 

"The bus was speeding heading to Kisii. The speed could be the cause since the road seemed to be slippery due to the ongoing rains in the region. Drivers should drive at a reasonable speed to save lives of passengers," said Gisemba. 

He added that in this month of August many people lose lives and drivers carrying passengers travelling long distances should be keen. 

No causalities have been reported from the accident.
