Jane Mokaya, a mother of six children on Sunday said that her daughter went missing under mysterious circumstances despite her staying in their homestead for the better part of Friday afternoon.

“My child was in the compound on the day she disappeared (Friday) till around 5 o’clock when we realised hours later that she was nowhere to be seen. I am mesmerised by the disappearance of my daughter and I just do not know what to do,” said Mokaya, the mother.

According to her, they have searched in the entire neighbourhood with no signs of  seeing Wilkister  who is in baby class at Makairo Preparatory school.

“With the help of my neighbours, we have gone round the whole village looking for her, but she is still nowhere to be found,” said Mokaya.

She pleaded with the government to help her find her daughter before the worst happens to the infant.

“I appeal to the government to help me find my daughter. I know she must have been abducted and she is out there waiting for our help,” added Mokaya.

Area chief Benjamin Mosoti confirmed the incident and promised expeditious process to find the little child.

“I have received report concerning the diasappearence of Wilkister Mokaya and I am liaising with Ting’a police officers to start the search process. I highly hope that we will find the little child safe,” confirmed chief Mosoti.
