The county government of Nyamira has blacklisted several contractors for providing substandard services on their projects.
The most affected are contractors from the building sector and a few from roads.
The Executive Committee Member in charge of Roads, Transport and Public Works Janet Komenda said they took the action to blacklist the contractors over what she termed doing shoddy work.
"We have blacklisted these contractors due to the shoddy work which they have been doing that has raised questions from residents," she said.
She also added that they will continue blacklisting rogue contractors without fear or favour.
"We will blacklist and we will continue to blacklist whoever does shoddy construction works whether in roads or buildings",she added.
