Officials from the county government of Nyamira are set to tour various parts of the county every Wednesday to inspect projects and also engage with residents, County Secretary Erick Onchana has said.
The county government through the office of the Governor in June launched a Governor’s Dialogue programme which allows the county boss John Nyagarama and his officers to interact with residents on a consistent basis.
And on Tuesday, Onchana urged residents to turn up in large numbers to put the county government officials on their toes by seeking clarification on a number of projects.
“It’s my wish to remind the people of Nyamira that county government officials will be touring every ward on a rotational basis to monitor and evaluate various projects that we have initiated across the county,” he said.
“That will also give you a chance to engage the officials every Wednesday so that we iron out issues that needs to be addressed to avoid suspicions. Please turn up in numbers so that we pull together as a team,” he added.
The exercise will see Ekerenyo and Nyansiongo wards receive a host of county government officials on Wednesday (today) and the remaining 18 wards will receive communication from the county government on the exact date and time of the visits.
