Former Transition Authority of Kenya chief executive and Nyamira County governor aspirant Stephen Makori Kerosi is dead.
According to the Nation, Makori died Monday at the Nairobi South Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where he was receiving treatment after he was involved in a grisly road accident on the Eastern Bypass road on Sunday evening.
The former TA chief executive had declared interest in the Nyamira governorship where he was to battle it out for the Jubilee Party ticket.
Makori, 52, worked as a district commissioner before he was appointed CEO of the Transition Authority.
His body is lying at the Umash Funeral Home as burial arrangements get underway.
