Residents of Mosobeti Market in Nyamira County have today lauded Nyamira Governor Hon. John Nyagarama for installation of solar lights in the region.
Led by flamboyant businessmen in the area, they praised county government for enhancing security in the busy market and vowed to do businesses till late hours to boost economy of the country,
“He [John Nyagarama] has done a phenomenal thing and we are grateful for that. We will carry out businesses without interruption and we may even consider the option of working around the clock”, said Mr. Nyang’au Mochoge a veteran businessman.
He said security has been enhanced and residents will be able to deal with insecurity issues at the same time having confident to do the business.
“Those who have been causing mayhem in the area will find it cumbersome. It is a major blow for them an incredible victory for us”, he added.
They cautioned those who might be thinking to vandalize the security lights and urged residents to be more responsible and report those with looting habit to relevant authorities for a decisive action.
“We are all mandated to take care of this treasure from the county leadership. Please lets work as a team and alert security forces whenever thugs try to vandalize”, said Mr. Joshua Mogaka another prominent businessman.
The county government is on the verge of installing security lights in various market centers across the county in bid to curb insecurity.
