Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama has said his government has put measures in place to curb insecurity in Bokeira ward.
This comes two days after area MCA Karen Atuya condemned insecurity in her ward demanding the county government to erect solar security street lights.
"I will engage my cabinet members to see whether we will get more street lights to install in insecurity hot spots in Bokeira ward," said Nyagarama.
He further challenged area residents to be more vigilant and report to the police whoever they suspect may be a threat to security.
"The area residents should identify those people whom they suspect to be posing insecurity to them and report such matters to the police so that the suspects will be apprehended," sdded Nyagarama.
