Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has promised residents that all road projects in the county would be completed by December this year.
Speaking in his office on Monday during the signing the budget report after it was approved by the county assembly, Nyagarama said the county will employ professionals in the Roads ministry to avert shoddy work.
"We did not have enough professionals in the ministry and the money we allocated for the projects in the last financial year was insufficient. We have now put measures in place to ensure good job is done by December this year," said the county boss.
Last week, Nyagarama cancelled several road tenders claiming the contractors were doing shoddy work.
In the 2016-17 financial year, the county executive member for Finance Reuben Sinange allocated Sh445 million to the Roads ministry.
