Nyamira County veterinary officers have been warned against overcharging farmers for Artificial Insemination (A.I) services.

Speaking at Nyangori Market, Gachuba ward during the ground breaking ceremony for the Keroka Town Water Supply project Nyamira Governor, John Nyagarama said A.I services is Sh500.

“We want AI services to be affordable to all dairy farmers in the county,” said Nyagarama.

Nyagarama disclosed that, the county government has acquired motorbikes to all area veterinary so that they can serve residents.

He urged farmers to report veterinary who are overcharging for disciplinary action.

“Such people are working against the county government policies. As the county government we are committed to serve people who elected us,” said Nyagarama.

“We want the A.I services to be accessible to all dairy farmers,” added Nyagarama.

Nyagarama said that anyone who will be found overcharging will face the law for stealing from public.
