Outspoken Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire believes Jubilee will not gain ground in Nyamira County arguing that it’s a Cord zone.
This comes after President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto toured the county for the first time since their election in 2013.
Speaking to this reporter on Tuesday, Bosire slammed Jubilee saying it had done little to improve the livelihoods of residents.
“Whoever is thinking that Jubilee has ground in Nyamira is being misled. The ground is very hostile for them and people know that. This is a government that only works in specific regions in the country,” Bosire said.
“Our roads are poor and we only get few Kilometers done after begging yet its taxpayer’s money. It’s sad that we have to beg for development and that fact alone will make them lose terribly in Nyamira. Tea and Coffee sectors are hailing. This is a Cord zone and we are open to receive those who want to join us,” added the ODM Treasurer.
He warned leaders elected on Cord affiliated tickets against dancing to the tunes of Jubilee saying they will have a difficult time during party nominations.
“We only work with loyal people and if you think you can go around cheating Jubilee that they have ground in Nyamira; your days are numbered and be ready for humiliation in future elections. Jubilee can never win in Nyamira in the near future,” he added.
Bosire is viewed as senior most opposition leaders from Gusii given his close ties with Cord leader Raila Odinga and his seniority within the ODM party.
