The Jubilee Party leadership in Gusii region is intact and working harmoniously, Jomo Kenyatta Foundation chairman Walter Nyambati has said.

Nyambati’s statement comes hours before DP William Ruto’s visit to Kisii County with some sources revealing a fierce rivalry between Jubilee Party's Nyamira leaders and their Kisii County counterparts over seniority.

A source privy to the intrigues who spoke on condition of anonymity said Nyambati had insisted on being the DP's chief host given his vast experience in politics with Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi opposing the move.

And Nyambati on Thursday dismissed the speculations saying the leaders were all happy to serve the Jubilee Party.

“I have heard of such propaganda but I want to insist that the JP leadership in Gusii region is intact and working in harmony. We have no differences and we are prepared to welcome the DP in our territory,” said former Kitutu Masaba MP.

“We are all united to deliver and no wrangles so far. It’s just a propaganda being spread by doubting Thomases. We will deliver votes for government and that is our aim for now,” he said.
