Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has congratulated Education CS Fred Matiang'i for the reforms he has brought about in the ministry.
Nyagarama noted that country has made great strides in realising its digital agenda through the minister who has worked tirelessly to bring sanity in Education ministry hence the timely release of the 2016 KCPE exam results.
"He surprised us when we got information that he was going to release the results today (Dec 1st), something that has never happened in this country," noted Nyagarama.
The county boss further said by so doing, parents will have ample time to prepare their children to get admission to their selected schools.
Nyagarama made the remarks on Thursday lat week at his residence.
On his part, Nyamira Senator Kennedy Okong'o hailed the minister saying the Jubilee administration should employ more officials of Matiang'i's like if it is to realise its goals.
He said its time the President got rid of lazy workers from ministries and replace them with non-politicians like Matiang'i.
"Matiang'i has proven to be a true worker and the only one in the government. He has curbed cheating in exams and so let the government seek ways to end corruption in other ministries and make Kenya a better place to live in," Mong'are told this writer on the phone.
