Leaders from Nyamira County have in solidarity pledged to support the National Government to ensure there is improved security in the country.

Speaking on Monday at Nyamira town, the leaders, led by Senator Mong'are Okong'o, Women representative Alice Chae, James Gesami from West Mugirango Constituency and Borabu MP Ben Momanyi, the leaders condoled the families which lost their kin in the Garissa University massacre that took place on Thursday last week leaving 152 dead.

“I will support the national government in ensuring security prevails among Kenyans. However, the government must put stringent mechanisms since it has a responsibility to guard its citizens countrywide,” said Gesami, remarks that were supported by Senator Okong'o.

“I, together with other leaders will support the victims of the attack to revert to their lives," said Momanyi.

On her side, Chae condemned the attack and wished the affected families faster healing, further challenging the government to employ other tact to tackle the rooted terrorists.

The Thursday attack at Garissa University has shocked many Kenyans, with majority of Kenyans urging the government to change tact and curb the terrorism act that has left many dead.
