The leaders termed the KNEC body as a big shame to the country claiming that its members were compromising the standards and quality of education through corruption leading to the leakage of exams which are under their custody.

Speaking during an education forum in a Nyamira hotel, the leaders observed that it was wrong to punish students on grounds of exam cheating instead of dealing with the real culprits who are the source of the exams leaked.

“How does the examinations which are set by the KNEC placed under its security get out to students prior to examinations date if the same is not again the one involved,” wondered one of the leaders.

Led by Nelson Onyancha and Fredrick Motio Onchaba, the petitioned President Uhuru Kenyatta to dissolve the entire KNEC Staff to pave way for new leadership which can protect the integrity of the body which is charged with noble responsibility of managing Examinations in the country.

Onyancha said it was high time the government brought to book those who are always behind the National Exams leakage for the last two years leading to students who have been in Schools for four years having their results cancelled on grounds that they cheated.

He noted that it was unfortunate that students found cheating are the only one disciplined by cancelling their result while those believed to have leaked the exams are spared.

They warned that if the entire overhaul of KNEC is not done, then they would mobilise students and parents across the country to boycott sitting for the National Examinations scheduled for October this year.
