The ward representatives led by nominated MCAs Hezna Mokua who is also Deputy Majority leader and Abel Mose said the bursary funds will help bright needy children to continue with their students.

“Orphans and children from poor families will be given priority in allocating bursary funds. Cartels who have plans to divert the funds to use in their personal agendas will be arrested and prosecuted,” said Mrs Mokua.

She said bursary application forms will be obtained from ward administrators offices across the County and not the MCAs’ offices.

“Parents and guardians should get the application forms from ward administrators’ offices to apply for the funds. No form will be issued at any office of the MCA because there may be favors when issuing the forms,” she noted.

Mose challenged the MCAs to spend the money wisely without misusing or misappropriating money.

“The County bursary funds will be sent to the ward account. MCAs should ensure the money is allocated free and fair to benefit all learners who deserve the funds. EACC should keep close watch to arrest any ward rep who will embezzle the funds,” he stated.
