My presidential candidate is Raila Amolo Odinga and therefore I cannot attend the Jubilee rally,” he remarked. He was supported by his Nyamaiya Ward counterpart Raban Masira, who said that the House had not received any official invitation to Uhuru's function to warrant an adjournment. On his part, Ekerenyo Ward member Thaddeus Nyabaro supported the motion, asserting that President Kenyatta was still Head of State despite the Supreme Court annulling his August 8 reelection. He added that Uhuru was due to land in his Ward, and was bound to welcome him.
