This comes after the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission wrote a notice on November 11, 2015 to the Nyamira County Assembly requiring all MCAs to sign the code of conduct forms.

According to the county speaker Joash Nyamoko, who read the notice in the assembly on Thursday, it was necessary for the MCAs to append their signatures on the form to avoid disciplinary actions.

"It is necessary for you honourable members to sign this code of conduct because as a public servant as per the constitution, no state officer is required to contravene the constitution as this may lead to lose of seats," said Nyamoko.

Nyamoko further challenged the MCas to be conversant and observe the constitution for the leadership and integrity act 2012 requires the same.

"My urge to you honarable members is to be very much conversant with the constitution and ensure that you sign the code of conduct forms of which we should have signed two weeks after we were sworn in to office," urged Nyamoko.
