Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has challenged Nyamira MCAs not to accept the six officers who are alleged to have been involved in corruption to be back in office again.

He asked them to put more effort in fighting corruption in Nyamira County as a way of promoting the county’s’ economy.

Speaking on Monday at Kemera the lawmaker said if Nyamira County wants to go ahead in development, the corruption doors should be closed completely.

“If the six officers who were involved in corruption get back to office again then Nyamira County may not move ahead in development since a room of corruption has given free,” said Bosire.

He added: “I am asking Nyamira MCAs not to accept. Once the officers get back in office, go and withdraw them because they might continue with the same spirit.”

Among the officers who were alleged to have been involved in corruption for the last tree months and still in question are executive members John Omanwa, Peter Owara, Andrew Ombati and Kepha Osoro.  Others are chief officers Fridah Nyaboga and Ernest Morara.

On Monday Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama ordered the six officers to be back in office but to serve in different ministries.
