Joash Orora of Masimba ward and his Nyakoe counterpart Cosmas Saka were nabbed in Nyamarambe market, South Mugirango constituency.

In Nyamira, Komenda challenged ward reps to maintain dignity and focus on exercising their mandate.

“MCAs were elected to oversight development, make laws, represent their electorate and not engaging in such acts,” said Komenda in Nyamira town Wednesday.

“Let MCAs maintain respect as we move forward and I condemn what happened in Kisii County were two MCAs are alleged to have defiled female students,” she added.

The two ward reps denied charges of violating children's rights when they were arraigned at the High Court in Kisii on Wednesday.
