Maurice Asila is the new Nyamira North OCPD. He replaces Joseph Mutende.
Asila was named the new police boss in the latest National Police Service (NPS) changes made on Sunday and which have seen 123 senior police officers affected.
According to kbctv.co.ke, Mandera County police commander Job Boronjo has been moved to the Kenya Police College in Kiganjo. He will be replaced by former Starehe police chief Bernard Nyakwaka.
On his part, David Kerina moves from Kaloleni as the police chief to Mandera as the county operations commander.
Lamu County police commander Aphiod Nyaga has been redeployed to Mombasa in the same capacity.
Ambrose Mwachia will now head the Diplomatic Unit, while Remi Warui is the deputy head of the Railways Police Unit.
Hassan Abdi has been moved to traffic operations.
Other new OCPDs also named in the reshuffle include Robinson Thuku who has been moved to Nairobi Central police station to replace Paul Wanjama.
Wanjama has been transferred to Murang’a South in the same capacity. Nakuru OCPD Musa Kongoli moves to Kikuyu while Cicily Gatiti is the new Kirinyaga West OCPD.
Lafey OCPD Bosita Mukoya has been transferred to Makueni while his Banisa counterpart moved to Nzaui and would be replaced by Anthony Keter.

The transfers which take effect immediately according to the NPS statement, have been effected by Deputy Inspector of Police in charge of the Kenya Police Service Joel Kitili.
