Officials at Nyamira Huduma Center have been accused of frustrating locals seeking to obtain birth certificates..
"I have been going to Nyamira Huduma Center offices to process for the documents for over 3 months now but in vain.
"The officers in the offices are too slow in processing the documents and have demanded bribe of up to Sh2,000 for me to get the document," said a parent who declined to be named.
She called on Acting education Cs Fred Matiang'i to intervene and compel the workers work at a high speed and process the documents before the KCPE registration window closes.
"Matiang'i should intervene so that we can get the birth certificates which are the requirement before the standard 8 pupils register for KCPE exams," she added.
