Aspiring Kitutu Masaba politician Mokaya Maroko has promised to purchase window panes for all Primary schools in the region as a move to help pupils handle the cold season in the region.

Speaking on Sunday at Riakworo Primary school where he donated window panes worth Sh100,000 Mokaya said he was determined to ensure the region has academic excellence centre by fixing issues affecting pupils.

He promised to deliver window panes besides refurbishing institutions with old windows and doors as a way of making learners comfortable during early morning preps.

“We normally ignore some issues which we think are small. Window panes are essential in all institutions because they give children conformability they need in learning. I have started with this institution and be sure all will be fine in other institutions,” he said.

“These are highlands and sometimes it’s difficult for children to attend morning classes. But this has been fixed and therefore I want students to work hard and lift our academic standards,” he said.

Mokaya defended his campaigns that have become under scrutiny on allegations that he was a public servant working with Nairobi County, Procurement department.

“I understand my detractors who want to implicate me. I am not campaigning and therefore I am only doing philanthropy to my people. When that time of campaign comes, everyone will know,” he said.
