Seasoned politician and businessman from Nyamira Senior counsel Nyambega Mose has promised to deliver five hundred exotic chicken for Magombo youth group.
Speaking at Magombo on Wednesday when he paid a courtesy call from the youth group, Mr. Mose said he will fulfill his promise by the end of the week but promised to closely monitor progress made by the group in future.
He said poultry farming was profitable because of its readily and available market hence his decision to give the group support as a way of enabling them make profits that will enable them to survive in the harsh economic environment.
Mr. Mose said he will launch the same initiative to other parts of the county as the way of helping the youthful population whose unemployment rate is worsening daily.
“I love poultry farming because of its available market and that is why I want you to full embrace it. I have offered to give you 500 chickens for starting but under close supervision from me. This is the only way we can deal with unemployment,” he said.
“I am going to spread the initiative to other parts of the county as the way of helping youths, who have been really hit by financial crisis due to global economic downtown,” he said.
He asked elected leaders from the region to front youth agenda because majority of the residents were unemployed youths.
