Residents of Ensonko village in Manga Nyamira County have raised alarm over increased insecurity in the area.
This follows after a businessman was kidnapped of Thursday on his way home by unknown people.
They said police should intensify patrols in the area to ensure security is beefed up during the festive season.
“Unknown people with a probox car kidnapped a businessman Jared Nyamoko aged 33 years last week Thursday who has not been found until today. We are in fear due to increased insecurity,” said Philip Ongoro.
He added that the family is in dilemma because one of their own is no where to be seen.
“We are calling on Nyamira County commissioner Isaiah Nakoru to order police launch a search to find the businessman though we are not sure whether he will be found alive,” he added.
