The school management says the action will see more than 800 students from the institution closely associated with Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama go through intensive training in preparation for real life.

According to institution’s Deputy Headmistress Alice Nyabuti, they arrived at the affirmative action following an intensive debate with members of the management and teachers family.

“We negotiated a lot since the program is not fully recognised in our curriculum. I am glad that our teachers are very understanding and we will start executing the programs,” she said.

She said students will be taught good morals and how to abstain so that to minimise some of the predicaments associated with early sex such as HIV and Aids related diseases and early pregnancies.

“This is going to be absolutely indispensable for our students. They will know how to deal will matters pertaining to sex by abstaining. It will work and we are sure of positive results,” she added.

She also challenged parents to teach their children good morals by training them and sharing with them real life experiences.

“This is not a job of the school alone. Parents have a vital role to play and I urge them to ensure they caution their children against having premarital sex. Its repercussions are well known and that is why we ought to be careful,” she added.
