The boy's body was found hanging from a tree outside their compound in the afternoon by a family member who had visited the homestead.

According to a witness who spoke to this reporter, Nyabuti was reportedly angered by differences between his parents.

“To be honest, the boy has been complaining that his parents are ever quarreling and fighting. He has often been in and out of the home due to the persisting family crisis which had affected him deeply,” said John Misati.

“He hung himself and left a suicide note urging his parents to reconcile. Till the time the incident happened, none of the parents was around and we are really shocked over the issue. I can confirm that the parents have been quarrelling in the past and I didn’t know it will escalate,” he added.

Enchoro sub-chief Dan Orina who confirmed the incident and refused to give further details insisting that it would only be done after postmortem.

“It’s true that a schoolboy was found hanging from a tree at their homestead and I am gray on the reasons. We will wait for a postmortem before giving further details,” he said.
