During a phone interview on Monday, Mong'are said Muslims girls have every right to wear hijabs as a way of respecting their religion and right of worship.

"It is very wrong to discriminate students based on their religious faith   as has been the case in the past and I commend the Court of Appeal ruling allowing Muslims girls fo wear hijabs to school," said Mong'are.

The Senator further urged school administrators not to be examining students during weekends as a way of respecting the right of worship.

"My appeal to all school administrators in the country is to ensure that students are not examined either on Saturday or Sunday because their right of worship must be safeguarded," added Mong'are.
