Omogeni speaking at Kenyenya SDA church on Saturday said County MCAs are not representing the electorates as required by the law.

“MCAs in the county are sleeping on their job. The recent sacking of over 30 county workers on forgery of academic documents claims could have been stopped by MCAs but the ward representatives have done nothing over the issue.

"MCAs must be awake and ensure the Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo is not blackmailing and intimidating county workers who don’t support him,” he said.

He claimed that the MCAs are only interested to earn salaries.

"MCAs are after salaries but poor in service delivery. It is time the electorates should weigh MCAs in office and kick out poor performers in 2022. Leaders must serve the people well and not only earning salaries,” he added.

Okong’o urged Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo to stop sacking workers without following legal procedures.

The senator said Nyaribo was not given powers to sack workers but serve the people of Nyamira in the absence of Governor Nyagarama.
