Speaking on Sunday at Borabu Primary School in Nyamira, Mong’are said his dream to have an educated country where children would access learning resource centre was still alive and he would use the remaining term to reach institutions which have not benefited.

He asked teachers to create time and allow children visit libraries to share limited books to improve performance in the county that has recently been on spot for deteriorating academic standards.

Senator Mong’are also challenged TSC to take an action on teaches who are reportedly making much absenteeism in their stations.

“Education is the only way forward in our county if at all we want to change our living standards. I will continue to equip all schools with learning materials before my first term expires in 2017. It is the responsibility of you teachers to ensure that children get time to visit the already established libraries,” said senator Mong’are.

Senator Mong’are said he would use part the proposed Sh21 million senatorial kitties that the county would receive to build libraries for institutions which are in dire need.

“All senators will from this financial year be receiving money from treasury for developmental activities. I will use part of it to elevate libraries in various learning institutions which are in dire need,” added Mong’are.
