Addressing Nyang'oge residents on Sunday during a fundraiser in aid of the construction of a local church, Mong'are said there is need for the youth to be sober-minded so as to respect leaders in power.

"What youths must know is that political leaders are elected and not appointed and they deserve respect and for that reason, they should not be abused over nothing,"said Mong'are.

The Senator further supported the Gusii leaders move to unite the community in an effort of having bargaining power.

"If we must present our own interest as a community for us to have a share of the national cake we must be united as a people so as to speak in one voice," added Mong'are.
