Nyamira County Assembly Speaker Joash Nyamoko has disbanded all House committees.
He at the same directed the formation of a select committee that will be tasked with the establishment of House committees according to the law.
Nyamoko who spoke in the assembly on Wednesday during the issuance of the order said some of the previous House committees were not formed in accordance with the law.
"It is good to note that the existing committees are not properly constituted, some do not exist in law or the House Standing Orders to the extent that the service delivery of some committees are wanting thus I direct that they are dissolved," said Nyamoko.
"With immediate effect, a relevant committee should be constituted as per the Standing Order No:1,500 should convene and constitute county assembly committees," added Nyamoko.
