Nyamira youths alliance has welcomed the visit of the president and his Deputy, being the first official visit since he was elected.
Led by Nyambega Gisesa, a youth leader in the area, they said that the county has been left behind in terms of projects since the two leaders have never visited the area since they were elected.
“We welcome the visit by the President to Nyamira County although this is his first official visit since he was elected, we have been left behind in development but we hope that we are going to catch up,” said Gisesa.
The president was accompanied by his Deputy President William Ruto and cabinet secretaries.
Among the places the president toured is Nyamira Level Five hospital, commissioned the Ekerubo Gietayi Technical training college and launched 14 KM Mosobeti - Kebirigo road.
During his tour, he assured residents that the projects that have been commissioned by the government will be seen to the end.
