Nyamonya Farmers Co-operative Society management has urged coffee farmers contracted to the society to embrace modern crop husbandry technologies to enhance their production and earnings.
The Society's Chairman Moses Onchabo urged coffee farmers in the area to embrace modern and innovative crop husbandry technologies to improve on their coffee harvests.
Speaking to this writer at the Society's headquarters at Nyakegogi shopping centre, Onchabo said majority of the local farmers did not concentrate to enhance coffee productivity.
"I am urging coffee farmers contracted to our society to consider embracing modern crop husbandry technologies, to ensure their coffee crop earns them high incomes instead of leaving the crop unattended as they pursue incomes from other alternative crops," said Onchabo.
He encouraged coffee farmers to practice modern agronomic practices to improve on the quality of their coffee.
Onchabo, reminded coffee farmers in the area that for them to benefit from their coffee crops they should invest in the crop's modern management technologies.
