Former Football Kenya Federation boss Sam Nyamweya has lauded Gor Mahia Fc and their arch-rivals Afc Leopards for winning the Sportpesa premier league and Gotv Shield respectively.
Nyamweya said that the victories were a massive boost to the two community clubs in the country who have enjoyed very successful spells in the country's soccer history.
"The victories by Gor Mahia and Afc Leopards ,the two oldest and most successful community clubs is a clear indication that with proper management, community clubs will reclaim their lost glory", he said.
However, he was quick to point out that the two sides need to invest massively in their squads and build formidable teams that would gurantee them successful stints at the continental tourney.
K'Ogallo are awaiting coronation as the new champions after securing an unassailable lead in the log with four matches to go while Ingwe thumped Kariobangi Sharks 2-0 on Friday to lift the Gotv shield.
