Former Football Federation of Kenya President Sam Nyamweya has sued the current management for defamation.
The legal suit comes after Nyamweya was slapped by a 10 year ban by FKF.
Nyamweya has termed the move as a non-starter, reckless and ill-advised and, through his lawyers, demanded an immediate and unequivocal apology and retraction of the letter banning him alongside a compensation plan failure to which he will sue.
“The letter has disparaged the reputation of our client and tends to lower him in the estimation of right thinking members of the society.
You have exposed him to ridicule, scandal, odium and contempt among his family, friends, business associates and football stakeholders both locally and internationally,” said Nyamweya’s lawyer Wahome Njagi in a demand letter to FKF.
