Locals from Nyando Sub County are this Saturday set to benefit from a free medical camp organised by a Non Governmental Organisation in Kisumu County.

Chairman of Biggy Foundation Owino Ogendo said the medical camp which will be held at Kanyang’oro Secondary school in East Kano Wawidhi ward and will cater for general illness.

He said a team of over 10 doctors, specialists and nurses will oversee the process adding that services like voluntary male circumcision, HIV testing among others will be given freely.

Ogendo said the initiative is part of the annual event the foundation will be holding to give back to the community adding that next year it will expand to other areas.

Speaking to the press in Kisumu, Ogendo said the camp has been organised at a cost about Kshs2 million and patients will be given free drugs and even referrals to other hospitals for those with complications.

He added that the main aim of the camp is to treat the locals especially women and children who most of the times have difficulties in accessing affordable quality treatment.

"I urge all locals to turn up in their numbers and take advantage of this exercise since this is my Christmas gift to the people of Nyando sub county and its environs," he said.
