Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama has assured that county engineers will start the repair works at Nyantaro Bridge.
The ODM governor assured that residents using the bridge from Gesima ward to Magombo ward will be able to use the bridge by next week Monday.
“Engineers have the information to start the repair works of the Nyantaro Bridge. Residents should use alternative routes for the time until the repair works are done by Monday next week,” said Nyagarama.
He called on parents to ensure children don’t use the Bridge because they will be risking their lives.
“We don’t want to witness unnecessary deaths where by children will be swept by floods. Parents should ensure children are safe and remain indoors during heavy rains,” he stated.
Nyagarama challenged ward administrators to inform the county of other bridges that needs to be worked on.
