Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang has denied celebrating President Uhuru Kenyatta's Supreme Court win on Monday.
Kajwang was pictured on Monday alongside Jubilee legislators including Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja, Samburu legislator Naisula Lesuuda, nominated legislator Isaac Mwaura, and Murangá County Senator Irungu Kangata.
Despite some lauding the lawmaker's move as being politically tolerant, there are those who blasted Kajwang, accusing him of 'celebrating' the Supreme Court ruling.
However, in a quick rejoinder, Kajwang defended himself saying that he had met the Jubilee lawmakers on legislative matters and not political.
“In the course of Parliamentary duties, I will always find myself in a room with members of Jubilee. This was the case when we had a meeting of Young Parliamentarians on Monday,” he said on his Facebook page.
Following the landmark Supreme Court ruling, plans are underway to have President Kenyatta sworn in for a second term next week.
