Several opposition leaning MPs have vowed to spend massively to ensure opposition leader Raila Odinga clinches presidency.
Even though he hasn’t been named National Super Alliance flag bearer, Odinga is reportedly at pole position to run against President Uhuru Kenyatta.
On Monday, ODM lawmakers said Odinga only needed to reach areas perceived to be Jubilee strongholds to divide the votes.
“We are ready to spend to the last coin and deliver this seat. It is not about benefiting Nyanza but the poor people of Kenya,” said Homa bay Women Representative Gladys Wanga.
“We just want little more votes from their strongholds. We are walking together in this and that is the spirit of rescuing Kenya,” said Timothy Bosire on Kitutu Masaba.
On his part, Kitutu Chache South’s Richard Onyonka vowed to reach remote areas to rally for Odinga presidency.
“Sometimes such opportunity comes once in life. We are blessed to have Raila from Nyanza. Time has come for leaders to sacrifice the little they have to reach remote areas and deliver,” he said.
