Criticism took equal measure against the area Member of Parliament Elijah Moindi over allegations that he has failed to deliver.

Those in support of the MP accused the opponents of undermining and sabotaging the MP in his strides towards development.

They told them to desist from dirty politics and instead support MP Moindi in the developmental agenda.

“It is ironical that the opponents are finger-pointing and undermining the MP for failure to deliver, yet they have not given him time. Give leaders time to deliver,” said Musa Nyandusi, a politician and also Kiamokama Tea Factory Director.

“Let us support elected leaders so that they can serve us. I have offered myself to support him and other elected leaders since that is the only way we can realise development. However, MPs should improve in developing their constituency,” echoed another former aspirant Ezekiel Machogu.

Opponents countered the remarks accusing the MP of reluctance and incompetency and asked him to resign.

“It is quite unfortunate that the MP you elected has failed to deliver. It will be honourable if the so called honourable resigns so that Nyaribari-Masaba residents can have a visionary and hardworking leader,” said Ocharo Kebira, another aspirant while addressing the mourners.

This comes as one Edward Nyakeriga, a constituent, has plotted to lobby for signature collection to recall the Member of Parliament on allegations that he is incapable and incompetent in serving the residents.

On the other hand, Machogu accused the National government of sidelining Nyaribari-Masaba in the road tarmac programme that aimed at tarmacking ten thousand kilometres of roads countrywide.

“The National government had put a programme of tarmacking 10,000 kilometres road in two years’ time, but it is quite unfortunate that our constituency has been sidelined,” complained Machogu.
