The adored Kenyan rapper and singer Nyashinski has come out and denied allegations that he asked for Sh1 million to be interviewed by a popular local TV show.
Nyashinski, whose real name is Nyamari Ongegu, made a huge return to the music industry last year, 2016. The singer had spent several years in the United States before coming back home.
Some time back, rumor had it that Nyashinski had apparently demanded one million shillings to attend an interview on a certain TV show, which saw Kenyans respond in various ways. Most of his fans, of course were not happy about it. However, Nyashinski has come out and clearly stated that these are nothing but rumors; he never demanded for the money.
“It's not true, going for interviews helps my brand and my music, I can’t shoot myself on the leg. It doesn’t make sense. Someone was given the wrong information. I have never even asked for a shilling. I have never asked for money to do interviews. Those are just stories.” The singer told mpasho.
What more, Nyashinski also dismissed rumor that he is dating and that he has a baby mama.
